Check out Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series of six books. Absolutely "out"standing! (Hahaha, forgive the pun:0))

I read one of those, I realized I had forgotten my book while at the airport leaving on a trip, so I went to the book store at the airport and found her first one. I then realized why "romance novels" are so popular.

      And Robin Maxwell.

Just recently I read a Historical Romance with a revisionist take on Richard III which while it leaned more heavily on the Romance than I was used to, I just loved.

It was called A Rose for the Crown, by Anne Easter Smith

I'd recommend it, although I am one of the people who can't see the sensibility in history's tale of Richard III. So I might be a little biased to the subject matter in the novel.
