I just picked up The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd. A huge tome. I read his Sarum, which was pretty good.

Thu, May 20, 2004 - 4:07 PMI am reading 'Devil in the White City' by Eric Larson. I love the turn of the century in big cities. It is not fiction, though it reads like it! I recommend it to everyone!

Far and away the funniest book I've ever read. My friend Vlad was threatened with arrest in two seperate airports because it caused him to laugh so hard he was frightening the other travellers.
Here's the amazon link so you can buy it yourself:

Wed, August 24, 2005 - 9:52 AMNot really reading historical fiction per se, but i am reading a collection by PG Wodehouse. Since it's all written contemporaneously, it suppose now it kind of is tho... the way he uses language is amazing. he captures the time period so well. -

Re: Currently Reading?
Sat, November 26, 2005 - 4:56 PMThat's a good one. I read it last march. I thought the ending was a bit anti-climactic, though.
Still, it made me want to get Rutherfurd's other books.
